  • Hello, thank you for starting this discussion.
As a proud Sicilian, I think of the Mediterranean Diet as a mosaic of cultures. The island’s cuisine is the result of millennia of cultural differences from the Greeks and Arabs to the Normans and Spaniards, this creating a unique variety and richness of flavors that you can’t find anywhere else in the world.

In my homeland, a meal never ends when the plates are empty, but we stay at the table to talk and share thoughts of the day. This because the true beauty of our diet lies in this exact capacity to bring people together.

Hello, thank you for starting this interesting discussion!

In today’s fast and frenetic world being able to follow a diet is already a challenge. Work life and commitments lead us to consume more sugary and fatty meals, that are also fast and “comfortable”. Mediterranean Diet is already a strategy to include in our days nutrient and simple food by reducing for example red meat and add to our everyday life healthy fats like olive oil.

Choosing to prepare meals instaed of “eating out” is time consuming but enables us to benefit from a lot of positive effects, like more energy for our activities.
